Video – Britney Spears New “I Wanna Go” Music Video - Review

It’s been a while since troubled pop star Britney Spears released any new music.

But in recent months she has dropped two music videos and today just released her latest with “I Wanna Go.”

Britney seems to be taking a journey back over memory lane – finding her roots as she parades around in a Mickey Mouse T-Shirt (her career started as a Mousketeer in the Mickey Mouse Club)

There is also a movie banner seen from “Crossroads 2” which is a reference to her 2002 movie “Crossroads” where she played the role of Lucy Wagner and sang “I Love Rock and Roll” and "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman."

The overall theme of “I Wanna Go” is Britney’s rebellion against the paparazzi and she is seen throwing a photographer’s camera to the ground and signing autographs for only the “cool” people.

The video starts with a press conference where she is asked if she is pregnant with Brad Pitt’s love child. She tells them to f#ck off!

Perez Hilton commented on Britney’s new video saying,

“The video did what it was supposed to and then some! Not only do you see Britney having lots of fun, but you also hear her speak and are just watching her look very normal. This video says that Britney has a great team around her who are advising her well. They know her strengths and weaknesses and what she needs to be doing right now. This video is mission accomplished! Home run!"

Another critic summed it up well with,

"It was absolutely a smart move. Britney's had rumors going around that she's a robot programmed by the people around her, but she takes the robot theme and turns it around on them. It's great to see Britney actually fight the paparazzi in a video instead of running from them for a change. The video feels like it's 'SNL' meets 'Toxic' meets 'Do Somethin'’ meets Femme Fatale. Britney has so many videos where she plays the sex kitten, so to see her kick ass and take names is really refreshing."

Spears is currently on tour throughout North America on her “Femme Fatale” concerts with Nicki Minaj.

 Today’s news is about the one and only Britney Spears. The pop tartlet hadn’t seen her children since January 3. Now, thanks to Papa (Jamie) Spears, Britney is getting some things back together. Obviously she can’t be left alone with her children, but she did see them. She spent three hours with Sean Preston and Jayden James on Saturday morning in the company of her father, a lawyer, and one of K Fed’s bodyguards.

The 29-year-old also revealed the clip on Twitter, writing: 'Without further adieu, I present my video for Hold It Against Me, directed by the wonderful Jonas Akerlund... Hope you guys love it as much as I do. If you didn't I'll kung fu kick you like I did to that chick in the video.'

After her music label released a staggering 14 sneak previews, the highly-anticipated music video unveiled in full in the US last night.Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shoot.

Britney Spears announced the official world premiere of her "Hold It Against Me" video today on her Twitter page. Fans can tune in to MTV on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 9:56pm to check out the new video, helmed by acclaimed director Jonas Akerlund. It's set to air right before an all-new episode of "Jersey Shore" - double win!

During her Onyx Hotel world tour she would meet her second husband Kevin Federline; soon after they would welcome their first child, a son, Sean Preston (nickname Sean P). One year later a second son would come along, Jayden James Federline and this would come just before the end of her second marriage. Devastated Britney would now embark on many late nights at the hottest Hollywood clubs with other Hollywood starlets, such as Lindsay Lohan and a pinnacle of talent, international superstar, model, dancer, singer and "actress" Paris Hilton.

Britney 2011 would continue to press on with the release of two more albums launching within a year of each other. Blackout with songs like “Piece of Me” and “Break the Ice” clearly depict Britney's life at the time. Britney's latest album Circus was a hit with the critics, hitting number one on the Billboard 200. The little track “Womanizer” calls out an unfaithful spouse, what Britney called a woman's anthem. The second song release, “Circus”, allows her fans a peep into her otherwise chaotic life, during which time she would lose custody of both boys, was admitted into the hospital, underwent random drug testing and shaved her head.
