Video - Austin Mahone Mobbed in Chicago – Police Shut Down “Meet and Greet”

Sunday, October 23, 2011

Mahone in a Chicago Hotel
It seems that becoming famous can be a hard job at times.

Fifteen-year-old singer Austin Mahone visited Chicago today to have a simple meet-and-greet with his fans when he was over-run by Mahomies.

Austin, who had been sending Keek’s all morning keeping his fans updated on his trip to Chicago, at first told his Mahomies NOT to meet him at Navy Pier because there were too many people expected.

After moving the event to “The Bean” sculpture in Millennium Park, thousands of Austin fans rushed to the area causing quite an influx of excited and hyperventilated young girls.

Police quickly whisked Austin and his mother away to a secure building next to the park until they could figure out what to do.

The meetup was eventually cancelled out of concern for the safety of Austin, his Mother, and his fans.

Police told the singer that if he plans to use the park in the future he needs his own security team and must notify the city several weeks in advance so they can plan for crowd control.

Mahone took to twitter to tell his fans that the event had been cancelled.

“Mahomies, it’s really hard for me to say this but i can’t do a meetup on this trip - the police won’t let me do it, I’m so sorry... Dont worry I’m okay and you didn’t do anything wrong!!”

Not bad for a kid who still goes to school and records all his covers in his bedroom with store bought recording equipment.

Let’s see… the last time that happened, it turned out to be - Justin Bieber.

Austin, if you need any bail money just let us know… we know a few people in Chicago.

Charlie Sheen’s Chicago Show Improves – Fans Don’t Boo and Walk Out – Review

Sunday, April 3, 2011

Well, it looks like Charlie Sheen is batting zero these days.

His live “Torpedo of Truth Defeat is Not an Option” show in Chicago Sunday night was almost as bad as his debut show in Detroit on Saturday night.

Once again, fans listened to stories about smoking pot and partying with rock stars but tonight Sheen took questions from an onstage interviewer, and there was more structure then last night.

He talked about spending millions on prostitutes and smoked cigarettes profusely the entire show. He also said he could see a time when he returned to Two and a Half Men. Yea right.

All-in-all, it seemed to be a better show than last night. There was no booing, hissing, fighting, and yelling like in Detroit.

One unhappy fan related:

“It was not that funny. Chicago is known for some of the best comedy and Improv in the country and this was just an insult to our city”

The show appeared to have changed somewhat from last night in Detroit, and there were subtle attempts to remove things that enraged the audience the night before. Like no opening stand up comedy act.

But in the end, it was Charlie Sheen on stage in front of 3,600 booing audience members listening to him ramble on about tiger blood, winning, Adonis DNA, trolls, Vatican assigns, crack cocaine, whores, and partying.

After the show, Sheen took to his Twitter account saying:

"#TruthTorpedo hello windy city..!!! Thank you for the HERO's welcome!! I'll bring it... c"

This is actually a little eerie as things are progressing just as we suspected they would last week when we contemplated what Sheen might have up his sleeve.

What Is The End Game?

Unfortunately, we now have to ask “What’s next for Charlie?”

Does he finish his remaining 18 live shows?
Does he bail out and walk away from the whole mess?
Can he get out without being sued by a 1000 people?
Does he, can he, go back to Two and a Half Men?
Will he end up in the hospital?
Will he even make it out alive?

We don’t see ANY WAY he can complete his commitment for the remaining shows.

In fact, we suspect he will end up in the hospital fairly soon with a standard case of super-secret “Charlie-itis” that will prevent him (and give him an excuse) from going on.

If he falls off the wagon and starts smoking crack or doing meth again – this will just hasten his trip to the emergency room.

TicketMaster and LiveNation have made it clear however (in the fine print on tickets) that NO REFUNDS will be given unless Sheen is unable to reschedule another show within a year.

Good luck with that.

But what about the press?

Sheen absolutely must be gearing up for the barrage of press that is going to hit Monday during the prime-time news cycles. Every station in every city is going to be running “Sheen Bombs” stories – including CNN, Fox News, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and countless others.

And what about websites like TMZ? They are going to have a field day with all this and it will only ramp up as the week progresses.

At some point, Sheen himself will have to come forward and personally address how he thinks things are going.

It will be brutal to watch. A full-blown break down or melt down cannot be too far off in the distance. Then maybe he can get the help he really needs.

Charlie Sheen Live Shows Sellout in 18 Minutes

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Charlie Sheen is taking his nut show on the road next month.

In another strange twist to his media saturation, Charlie Sheen has announced he will be performing two sold out live shows in April called “Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option”

The performance is expected to be a stage show but few details about the content are known. But fans didn’t seem to care as Ticketmaster says the shows both sold out in twenty minutes.

Performances are scheduled for April 2 & 3 in Detroit and Chicago but after the unexpected sellouts Uncle Charley has vowed to add more shows to his series.

In an act of giving, Sheen agreed to give $1 from each ticket to the Red Cross to assist in the Japan Earth Quake and Tsunami efforts. What a guy.

Sheen tried to explain it in his own “warlock” words:

“I’m going on the road। Live. Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth? Will there be more? This is where you will hear the real story from the Warlock. Bring it. I dare you to keep up with me.”

Ticket prices ranged from $35-$70.

After an almost three week media blitz that never included a live audience, we hope Charlie is not disappointed by his fans reactions to his shows. He needs to be ready for a hostile crowd reaction if his words change little between now and April 2.

We’re not sure if these “fans” purchased their tickets to see a funny show – or to be front and center in the next phase of Sheen’s epic melt down.

I’ve seen every interview and read every story, and I got to tell you… I’m still not really sure what Charlie is trying to tell us. But then again, I’m not sure he knows what he is trying to say.

Sheen also launched his official website last week complete with a nut ball rant video and logo image.

Stay tuned.
