Are you willing to pay $36,099 for a pair of Levi's jean? The story came from California, where an old pair of vintage Levi’s was found in a mine in the Rand Mining District, on the Mojave Desert. Surprisingly, the jeans were covered in wax and with an old paper bag and the name of a mercantile store which operated between 1895 and 1898.
Then eBay came into the picture. The bid for the old Levi’s went up to $36,099, and it’s still going!
What we learn from this? Save a pair of vintage jeans to our kids, who know it may worth thousand dollars in 100 years time!! :)

Man Fashion: Is Skinny Jeans Dying Off?
Sunday, December 20, 2009
If you thought you look totally awesome in your skinny hipster jeans, well you are wrong. The trend seems to be dying off and most people these days have begun to go for that eased look, which comes with jeans that are not skinny. In the Paris Men’s Fashion Week lately, Dior Homme, Lanvin, Hermès, Paul Smith and other big names in the men’s couture did not reveal any jeans or trousers that even bordered close to being skinny or tight.
The tight jeans, kohl fudged, spike haired look seems to be dying and a relaxed 90s look seems to be back. This could be a fallout from the recession as most of us do not care about fashion anymore? as some of us are not afford as before?
The solution seems to be in well tailored but unpretentious jeans that not only look good but also make you feel like you are not being vain when people are losing jobs. Hermès designer Veronique Nichanian showed to the world what well dressed men look like even without tight and skinny jeans with washed linens and vintage shirts. Of course, fashion is very personal taste, I'm not influence your decision, but if you are on the lookout for such skinny jeans
, think twice again!

Man Travel: Travel With Style
Monday, December 15, 2008
International business travel is an activity that is becoming more and more complex on a daily basis. You must be well prepared before you start your journey and be prepared for all eventualities.
Most important, do not carry a lot of clothing. You need only basic wardrobe and some leisure items (sports maybe) and make sure that it’s consistent with the local weather conditions as well as custom. But no matter how long the flight, you can always avoid looking like you stowed away in the cargo hold. Here, the clothes that will let you stretch your legs without short changing your style when you're 30,000 feet in the air.

Lastly, don't over-stuff your suitcase. Pack enough clothing for each day of your trip, plus an extra shirt or two for variety. Strike a balance and travel with style.

Men Washed Cotton Shirt
The last thing you need while sleeping in-flights is a stiff collar scratching your neck. A rumpled cotton button-down helps you maintain some decorum even when you're slumping in your seat.Men Cardigan
A cashmere cardigan keeps you just as insulated from the airplane's air-cond as a complimentary Scotch whiskey or two, but without the dehydration too. Unlike a pullover, the beauty of Cardigan is that it's easy to put on or take off.Soft Structured Men Jacket
A deconstructed gray jacket makes an ideal outer layer for traveling. Stow it once you're in the air, then slip it on as soon as you exit the lan for a minimum hassle, put together look.
Dark Denim
When there won't be time for a post-flight change of clothes, choose a pair of dark jeans that will weather wrinkles, allowing you to move seamlessly from seat to your next destination.
Lastly, don't over-stuff your suitcase. Pack enough clothing for each day of your trip, plus an extra shirt or two for variety. Strike a balance and travel with style.

Man Fashion: Men In Tights Fashion is Back?
Tuesday, August 5, 2008
Believe it or not, there's a new trend in men's fashion, men are now looking for fashion tights or skinny jeans or khaki pants. According to one of the recent fashion report, UK stockists are reporting record sales of sheer, patterned and support tights for men. Retailers say men's tights are not being sold as fetish garments, but as practical, comfortable and – most worryingly – stylish everyday wear.
"I don't know what is going on – sales have gone mad," said Kieran Hughes, director of the tights stockists Precious Collections.
"In the past two months we have gone from selling 300 pairs of tights a month to men in the UK, to selling more than 1,000." Men give three reasons for donning skin-tight legwear. Some simply like the added insulation they bring underneath trousers. Others put them on under shorts and claim they bring such health benefits as back support. And a few even claim that tights are the latest symbol of metrosexuality.
Mr Hughes said: "German men have been wearing them for years. More than 50 per cent of German men wear tights, including famous German football players. I can't imagine many footballers here doing that." Online site Legwear4men reports that it is struggling to cope with demand, while Mytights reports that its new men's line sold out almost immediately, particular skinny jeans and similar fashion.
Tights aimed at men are designed slightly differently from those worn by women – and not just because they come in sizes large enough to accommodate burly rugby players. They usually feature support panels, sometimes include front openings that resemble flies on jeans, and also have reinforced feet. Will you get one for yourself?

Man Fashion: 8 Fashion Tips for Skinny Men
Saturday, March 1, 2008
Alright, after my earlier post on fashion tips for bulky man, some of you might wonder whether is there any tips for skinny man, especially if you are skinny as well as tall. So after some researches, here are some of the simple tips for the tall and skinny man.
Choose Fitted Shirts
Loose fitting, un-tucked shirts will billow around you and make you look the mainsail on a mast. So make sure to choose something fitted. On the other hand, you should avoid extreme tight shirts because they will accentuate your bony upper half.
Avoid Monochromatic Looks
If you wear a solid color from head to toe, you will seem even thinner than you are. So break up your look by wearing few different colors in your outfit
Select Lighter Color
Lighter colors will make you appear slightly larger, so choose white, creams, light gray, light blue to visually bulk you up a bit.
Don't Wear vertical Stripes
As in my earlier article, vertical stripes only suitable for bulky person, if you are skinny, vertical stripes will make you even thinner.
Round-Toed Shoes
Alright, what round-toed shoes got to do with this? If you are really tall, round toe shoes will make you look disproportionate. So go for square-toed or pointy shoes in order to balance out your shape.
Skinny Jeans
Stay away from this kind of jeans. You pants should have a classic cut and should remain simple. A straight cut or boot cut jeans with long inseam will also flatter your best.
Short Jackets
Make sure all your jackets fall right under your buttocks. A shorter jacket will emphasis your height as well as your skinny waist, arms and legs.
Other Tip:
To avoid looking like a lollipop, don't wear blazers or jackets with big shoulder pads.

Man Fashion: 5 Buy Calls for 2008 Men's Fashion
Sunday, January 13, 2008
I am sure some might wondering, what should the trend in 2008 after my earlier post on 7 Men Fashion to avoid in 2008? There are many saying that 70's fashion is coming back, punk fashion should be in high popularity. Well, in my opinion, some of the fashion trends in 2007 might spill over to this year. Here are some of the fashion that will still in high demand.
Tags: Man Fashion, 2008 Men Fashion, Levi's Jean, eco-friendly jeans, Patek Philippe, Patek Philippe Calatrava, Sweater Vest, Timberland Boots, David Beckham, Apple iPhone
- Jeans - In particular eco-friendly jeans. Since Levi's launched their the Levi's(R) 506 Standard Fit Jean for guys and the Levi's(R) 570 Straight Fit Jean for girls in end 2006, this type of eco-trend jeans will continue to dominant the jean's world in 2008.

- Watch - The classic trend is back, a classic round wristwatch, with hobnail bezel, Roman numerals, and a beautiful porcelain white dial. Patek Philippe Calatrava, a classic of the less-is-more genre, demonstrates, taste is one thing you can't measure with a ruler.

- Sweater Vest - Call it the revenge of the nerds, but the latest release of GAP V-neck sweaters is making your traditional sweater vest in your closet look a little outdated.
- Boots - Rocking this ensemble from head to toe, as David Beckham did on a recent Arena magazine cover—may not be for everyone, but chances are there's a pair of bovver boots or suspenders in your future.
- iPhone - Don't require further elaboration. Find out the nearest Apple store near you today.

Men 10 essentials in the closet
Sunday, December 16, 2007
With busy work schedule and less rest time, most men find less and less time for shopping. Have you even think of buying some new digs but don't have time for all these? Instead of spending time to shop for normal shirts and pants that you can wear every day, why not get a few key pieces that can take you from day to night and weekday to weekend.
So here are 10 fashion clothing and accessory essentials that you should able to find in your closet.
So here are 10 fashion clothing and accessory essentials that you should able to find in your closet.
- Khaki Pants: A good pair of dress pants that can be worn to work is essential to every man’s closet. Choose a pair of well tailored khaki’s that you can wear to work, church, out for the evening, or to a casual luncheon. These pants can quite possibly take you from your morning coffee to your after work martini all year round.

- Blue Jeans: Invest in a quality pair of dark blue jeans that fits well. Since many work places have adopted casual Friday policies, a pair of nice dark blue jeans is a great addition to your wardrobe. Pair you jeans with a sweater, a stylish button down shirt, or even a polo shirt. A pair of dark jeans is also a great addition to your weekend wear, especially for casual dates.
- Sweater: A solid, neutral color sweater is a must for any man trying to complete his closet. Look for something with either a V neck or a traditional collar. A simple wool sweater can be worn alone; with a pair of corduroys on the weekend; or with button down shirt underneath for situations where you need a little more class. If affordable, get a upper class one so it can be worn in different occasions.

- White Button-down Shirt: Everything on this list will look great with a white button down shirt. A white button down shirt is something you really need to have. Choose one that is well tailored. Wear it underneath your sweater, by its self, or with your suit and tie. If you’re wearing it for a special occasion, class it up with a pair of cufflinks.
- Coat: A flexible yet classy coat it imperative to your wardrobe from fall to spring. A trench coat is an excellent choice for several reasons. For starters, this coat can be worn to work, formal occasions, or just to run to the coffee shop. The climate versatility of the trench coat is another great reason to add it to your closet. Many trench coats are water proof to a certain extent making it perfect for rain or snow. They are also light and therefore can be worn in the spring with just a t-shirt, or during the chillier months with a sweater underneath. When choosing a color, try to find something in a neutral color like black or brown.

- Black or dark color Suit: Life is full of surprises, and often time you are forced to dress for a certain occasion or event with little notice. Whether you have the excitement of a job interview or the sorrow of a funeral, you often don’t have time to run to the store and buy something to wear. Having well tailored black suit will ensure that you’re always prepared for situation that require you to be well dressed on little or no notice

- Ties: solid, neutral colored ties are a great thing to keep on hand for spur of the moment business meetings, classy nights out on the town, or simply to wear every day to work. While colorful patterned ties are great fashion accessories, a simple tie is more useful for everyday occasions.
- Dress Shoes: While you wear semi casual shoes to work, you should make sure you have a pair of dress shoes on hand at all times. I would suggest purchasing pair in black to make sure they match with your suit, jeans, and khakis. Find a quality pair that is comfortable and simple so you can wear them for any dressy occasion.
- Designer Watch: This may not be gold or diamond number, but a designer watch will automatically upgrade your look.
- Cufflinks: One of the most important accessory to ensure that you are always prepared for business meeting, or classy occasions.
