Man Fashion: Emporio Armani F/W 2011 Collection

Saturday, November 26, 2011

This season, Emporio Armani is plunging into realistic urban townscape. In fine shading of grey and taupe, the collection offers a vision of urban dressing that escalates the collection into a whole new level of modern elegance. Special attention was given to coats with deconstructed silhouettes, slim fitting and occasionally paired with a waistcoat that looks best at mid-calf length.

Armani's signature nylon and quilting are replaced with a range of wools, nubuck sheepskin and leather to reassure the brand's sense of solidity. The collection is expressed with a forceful confidence and a hints of eccentricity. The leather harness cum waistcoat is genius creation, a very sexy way to display and define the male form.

Man Fashion - Are these Your Favorite Fashion Designers in London Fashion Week?

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Basically fashion trends are always dictated by a band of selected few. Similarly, there are certain locations that are leaders in fashion trends all over the world, namely, New York, Paris, Milan and of course; London. When it comes to outerwear fashion designing there can be few that can compare with Burberry Prorsum. Bestseller from it is the classic Burberry trench. One of the unique features of the fashion design is that in the recent fashion week cat walk a rougher edge has been added to the fashion theme of the brand. Fashion additions that display the rougher edge are biker jackets, leather leggings, leopard print dresses, and studded jackets.

Since his debut in London fashion week back in the year 2003, he has earned name and fame for beautiful prints as well as patterns especially on silk fabrics. Many celebrities prefer the designs that are plain, simple, and elegant looking.

Sharp Shirting with Excellent Tailoring

If it comes to London designer offering sharp shirting with excellent tailoring, name of the London designer that crops up is Richard Nicoll.

Made with tough fabrics the highly designer apparels with some elegant modifications like black PVC interspersed with soft color ways as well as floating skirts, these designs create a completely different fashion statement.

New Age London Designer

Contemporary and modern designs by Henry Holland are trend setters on their own.

Many creations of Holland have been responsible for diverting the current trend in fashion designs not only in London but across the globe.

These are not all. Numerous classy and trendy London designers are there and each of them can offer something that can start a new trend in the fashion market, but these are the few that suit our fashion theme. How about you?

Leather pants, wing-tip boots, plaid shirts, denim, tight-cut suit coats in black. The Canadian designers Dean and Dan Caten brave the cold in their latest collection based on the rough and ready life of early American settlers.

The twins behind the DSquared label brought up the curtain on their own winter menswear show Tuesday to reveal a snow-laden hut immersed in the mountains. The collection of reassembled work wear was built around the apron, which in fashion terms becomes a vest. Heavy leather belts, suspenders and pioneer hats accessorized the look. Jeans, low slung and in wool denim are a winter must.

Man Fashion: D&G SS 2011 Ads Campaign

Friday, December 31, 2010

We simply adore it while marketing campaign pictures apparently just leak online!

However will they really get leaked out because those are desperate to find out these or perhaps could it be just about all sort of a larger strategy which fashion houses ought to develop a buzz around these fresh marketing campaign?Oh well, in any case we all continue to love all of them!

This fresh new men's clothing Dolce & Gabbana promotion for the Spring /Summer 2011 collection just as before sticking with the same sexual masculine idea which produced their brand name a household name. This campaign features pretty much identical models ,Noah Mills and Sam Webb, together with the fascinating add-on of Madonna's Erotica toy boy ,Tony Ward, seriously it was about time.

Of course the particular innovative direction oozes sex & italian stallion masculinity as the hard working boys are returning all sweaty, tanned, rugged and exhausted. If perhaps all of us did not realize that the campaign had been shot in New York in a facilities by Steven Meisel .

What do you think about this campaign?

Man Fashion Week: Z Zegna Spring 2010 Collection

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Body conscious strokes on old school cuts turn up in Z Zegna, Alessandro Sartori of Z Zegna mixes dandy-ism with street cred, pairing svelte blazers and waistcoats that are nipped at the waist and worn with sheer T-shirts, as well as single- and double-breasted suits snug, nearly as tight as his head-to-toe ensembles in oxblood-colored leather.

Launched in 2004 as Ermenegildo Zegna's younger, more fashion-forward collection, the Z Zegna line now accounts for about 15 percent of its parent company's bottom line. Design head Alessandro Sartori grew up in a small mountain town renowned for the wool it produced for Zegna, and Sartori—his surname is Italian for "tailor"—has spent virtually his entire career with the company.

Man Fashion News: McQueen's Death hurts Fashion World

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Yes, there are other big names: Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Paul Smith come to mind. But the sudden death of Alexander McQueen leaves a gaping hole at the center of London as well as the world fashion universe.

McQueen was Britain's shooting star, a man who helped make London cool again in the 1990s. And his personal history helped inspire others.

The son of a London cabbie, the youngest of six siblings, McQueen was a product of the streets, not a posh dilettante with a wealthy family to back his fashion whims.

Now he is gone, due to an apparent suicide that has not been confirmed by his family or the police. And fashion insiders don't see any heir apparent to the enfant terrible who turned catwalk shows into memorable works of performance art.

So what left behind was two unseen collections: one to be shown at Paris Fashion Week and one that was meant to be presented on the day of his death announcement, for his secondary line McQ.

New York Fashion Week: Marc by Marc Fall 2010 Collection

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Marc Jacobs sat cross-legged on the floor backstage before his second runway show of the week. This one was for his secondary Marc by Marc line, which has a younger, more price conscious following than his signature line. Chatting calmly amidst a tangle of electrical wires, he didn’t look like a guy with stage fright.

As a secondary line, Marc by Marc may not generate nerves for the designer, but it does provide most of Mr. Jacob’s customers, so it’s a key collection.

Focus on melton wool trenches and cargo pants in olive drab; khaki twill rucksacks; even a black flight suit. And for your off-duty trips: cuffed sweatpants, herringbone overcoats, and a sharp patch-pocket wool blazer in subtle plaid.

Man Fashion: Williamson For Men

Saturday, January 30, 2010

Contributed by Charlie Johnson

Charlie

Matthew Williamson has broaden his horizons and created his first men’s line set to be launched in time for Spring/Summer 2010; his individual use of bright colours and extravagant patterns has been continued within his opening male collection.

For those who is not familiar with Matthew Williamson, is an English fashion designer. His collections are shown twice a year during New York Fashion Week, and they often have an Indian influence, perhaps related to the time Williamson spent working in India for the clothing store Monsoon. He counts celebrities such as Björk, Cat Deeley, Sienna Miller, Kelis, Jade Jagger and Plum Sykes amongst his friends.

After the success of his Matthew Williamson for H&M collection it’s easy to predict how popular his first male designs will be; the items which will only available be in London, New York and Dubai (in his stores and Harrod’s) customers will literally fly to get the first piece Williamson for men.

The capsule collection which includes silk scarves, cashmere sweaters and a range of brightly coloured t-shirts isn’t designed for the faint hearted male; but why should women only enjoy his clothes, take a road trip to your nearest store and bring Williamson into your wardrobe.

His first capsule collection which includes silk scarves, cashmere sweaters and a range of brightly coloured t-shirts; is set to sell quicker than his high street range and with it only being available in New York, London and Dubai people are set to literally fly to get it.

Milan Fashion Week: Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010 Collection

Friday, January 29, 2010

Looking back to Milan Fashion Week, Dolce & Gabbana led the way with one of its strongest presentations in seasons, using Giuseppe Tornatore’s new film, “Baarìa,” as the starting point for a Sicilian-inspired collection highlighting Italian tailoring and distressed work wear.

If only Michael Corleone had these threads on hand when he was hiding out in the motherland. They're everything a macho, sexy, tough Sicilano could want, from long johns tucked into worker boots and henleys to Sunday-best suits looked especially sharp when contrasted with worn-out tank tops.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and their attention is clearly in the right place.

Man Fashion: 2010 Mens Color Trends

Monday, January 4, 2010

As we are catching up with trendy fashion, color become an important ingredients in mens fashion designs.

So let look what are the top 8 men fashion colors trends in Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.

I always like Black, which is no issue to match with other colors. Black also used by many mens fashion designers in their 2010 collections, being it total black, or combination of black and other lighter tones.

Greens, made popularized by Lavin in his 2010 collection. A calming and refreshing color as well as easy on the eye! That's the color we all miss during summer with it’s greenery and warmth.

My another favorite combination so far, Grey and metallic. More and more mens fashion designers adopt these colors and put aside traditional colors that we used to.

Blue always relate to guys like pink relates to ladies. So there is no accident that Blue is one of the top pick by mens fashion designers this year.

Brown is the second neutral color and it is as popular as black. Brown looks chic and sexy and this makes it so popular in 2010.

My favorite White looks good and noble but I think this color will do better in spring and summer rather than in winter season.

Red is the most popular color and it just couldn’t stay away from men fashion in day one.
